Winter Festival

Updated on December 08…

We’re putting together something special for Saturday December 15: a Rio Crossing Winter Festival!

Here’s what’s currently in the works, currently planned to run from noon until 5pm or so:

  • Four tons of snow! Right in the middle of Roma Park!
  • Homeowner Bazaar/Arts & Crafts Market – buy/sell holiday and hand-made items at neighborly prices.
  • Several food trucks with a variety of eats – this was a big hit in the spring!
    • 2 Pinas Tacos, Dunges Dogs (hot dogs), My Home Place, La Vida Coffee Company
  • Santa and the Grinch will both be there – bring your cameras!
  • Vendor displays by nearly 30 residents and local small/service businesses.  See the list of confirmed displays below!
  • … and there will be a porta-potty this time.

If you are interested in the Homeowner Bazaar/Arts ^ Crafts Market or Vendor Display (free to Rio Crossing residents, small charge for outside vendors), please send your name, phone number, what you’re offering, and name of your business (if you have one) to our Social Committee Chair Andres Montoya at [email protected] and he’ll get back to you with details and a section assignment.

Sorry, no movies will be shown at this event, as originally announced.  We couldn’t arrange the logistics of a day-light showing, and a night-time showing would extend the event well into the evening in the middle of December.  We’ll try again in the Spring!
